Startup Weekend: Recapping Startup Weekend Boulder 2

Looks like you had some gems, and some great guests. I think Phoenix may be ready for a StartupWeekend. Maybe in the Fall (Oct,Nov) when it cools down again.

Startup Weekend was awesome - several times better than I expected. I got a tremendous buzz from it, and it was totally inspiring to see how well our team (hitsurance) worked together!

I really like the new structure of startup weekend. Personally, the reason I backed out of StartupWeekend Houston was because I had my own startup ideas that I wanted to work on with others- I didn't want to be constrained to a single idea. Besides, 60 people is way too many to work on a single idea!

Looks like I'll try to hit up StartupWeekend San Antonio.

Neat idea to have multiple concepts going simultaneously.

Did having so many different tracks dilute the amount of stuff actually accomplished? I.e. did each startup lanch with less because of fewer resources to actually do work?

    Anthony,

I can't speak for other groups, but our 6-person team was the perfect size. Every once and a while someone would wander in to see if they could help and the answer was a resounding "No!" - we didn't mean to be callous, but we found the size to be just exactly perfect.

The new format worked. I like how we were given the opportunity to check out all the teams and pick the one that best fit. Also, the free t-shirts and startup drinks rocked!
